Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverte par l&rsquo;astronome\u00a0germano-britannique\u00a0William Herschel\u00a0en 1786.<\/p><p>Elle s&rsquo;\u00e9tend sur environ 12 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re. L\u2019 \u00e9toile \u00e9nergisante de cette n\u00e9buleuse\u00a0IRS2b<small class=\"cachelinks\"> <\/small>est obscurcie par la poussi\u00e8re et ne se r\u00e9v\u00e8le que dans l\u2019 infrarouge proche . L&rsquo;intense rayonnement\u00a0ultraviolet\u00a0de cette \u00e9toile ionise les atomes d&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne\u00a0de la n\u00e9buleuse. Les\u00a0ions\u00a0ainsi cr\u00e9\u00e9s \u00e9mettent une lueur rouge lorsqu&rsquo;ils capturent un \u00e9lectron libre (voir\u00a0l&rsquo;\u00e9mission H-Alpha). Elle fait partie du nuage mol\u00e9culaire d&rsquo;Orion, une r\u00e9gion de\u00a0formation d&rsquo;\u00e9toiles\u00a0qui comprend la fameuse\u00a0n\u00e9buleuse de la T\u00eate de Cheval. Du gaz et surtout de la poussi\u00e8re se trouvant en avant de NGC 2024 absorbent la lumi\u00e8re de la n\u00e9buleuse et forment le ruban sombre que l&rsquo;on voit sur les images en lumi\u00e8re visible.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c401d93 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"c401d93\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fc2f2bf e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"fc2f2bf\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e57857e elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"e57857e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">La Constellation d'Orion<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7a9300e elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7a9300e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Orion est l\u2019une des constellations les plus connues : la plus ancienne repr\u00e9sentation li\u00e9e \u00e0 cette constellation remonte \u00e0 38 000 ans. Les observateurs de l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord peuvent la voir dans le ciel du sud-ouest.<\/p><p>Orion est\u00a0l\u2019une des constellations les plus reconnaissables\u00a0car elle pr\u00e9sente une caract\u00e9ristique pro\u00e9minente qui peut \u00eatre facilement vue de n\u2019importe o\u00f9 dans le monde. Il s\u2019agit bien s\u00fbr de l\u2019ast\u00e9risme\u00a0<strong>Ceinture d\u2019Orion<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 une ligne de trois \u00e9toiles marquant la taille du Chasseur.
